Came here for a work dinner on a Tuesday. Restaurant wasn't super busy but it's nice and spacious, with a bar and TV in the back. We were party of 6 that hadn't seen each other in awhile so we were chatting a lot, but our waiter was super patient with us. We got a bunch of appetizers to share (charcuterie plate, salmon tartare, bibb lettuce salad, French fries, they were out of the escargot). Everything was good, but I've had better salmon tartare. We ordered a bunch of mains to share as well - squid ink pasta, ravioli, halibut, steak frites, braised short ribs. I didn't get to try the short ribs but the steak was cooked very well, halibut was really good, and I liked the squid ink pasta a little better than the ravioli dish (it was a sweet corn ravioli dish - the ravioli itself was delicious but it sat on top of a bed of more corn and onions I think, which I felt were unnecessary). The glazed carrots and broccolini sides we got were both delicious, and my fav dessert was the banana trifle.

Celebrated my mom's birthday here and ordered a lot. Escargot - 3.5/5 lacked flavor Chicken liver mousse - 5/5 Bread & butter - 5/5 house made bread with French butter was good Seafood tower - 3.5/5 $110 but came with 6 oysters, 6 large shrimp, 3 crab legs (?), 1 lobster tail with 2 claws. Not blown away - didn't taste fresh but didn't taste bad. French onion soup - 5/5 not a big French onion soup fan but actually liked it. Main: Halibut - 4/5 not my thing but mom liked it Steak frites - 4/5 steak was cooked perfect but the seasoning and flavor was subpar. Fries were delicious but a little salty. Ask for Dijon aioli on the side. Braised short rib - 5/5. Really good and would only come back for this. Pomme puree - 4.5/5 tasted good but not as velvety/smooth as I would like Glazed carrots - 3/5 some pieces still had a bite to them, others were soft Dessert: Mille feuille - 5/5 Banana torte - 5/5

For someone who considers themselves a chicken wing connoisseur, the title of the best wings in LA is a big one. Pretty sure I found them here. They are perfect, IMO. Also beautiful decor and vibe. Everyone is friendly. 10/10

Long overdue review. Charming restaurant inside the Fairmont Hotel. Excellent service. Food--unique and pricey. Would love to visit again for the ambiance.

Had a lovely brunch here for Easter - it's a La carte which is different than the usual Easter brunches we have gone too but the food was great - we had shrimp w grits special. My parents loved the salmon and the country fried steak. The pasta for the kids is fresh so it does take longer. The ambience is great as they had live music and the spot is so pretty all wicker chairs and lush green.

I initially walked into Lumière seeking nice atmosphere and a glass of red, but I enjoyed my experience so much in the first 30 minutes, I decided this was my official dinner destination. Arrived at the Fairmont Century Plaza around 8pm and walked straight into Lumiere. I've been here before on the back patio for an event a few months back, but I wanted to experience the beautiful interior. And beautiful it was. Low lighting, gold, green and cream decor. It was definitely a treat for the senses for a girly girl like me. After taking a seat at the bar and a couple of sips of my Cabernet, I perused the menu and my eyes could not stop veering at the steak frites. I'm a girl who loves a good steak and I couldn't handle it anymore! I had to have it...and I made such a wonderful choice. It was a perfectly medium rare filet with a beautiful herbed butter on top and deliciously crispy french fries. I was in love! I may have to stand outside this meal's house with a boombox and profess my love in the rain. It was incredible. To top it off, the customer service was great! The hostess was incredibly kind when I arrived and my waiter was awesome! Super attentive and great! Awesome experience at Lumiere! Its definitely pricey, but worth it! You're gonna be well taken care of and have a great meal. I'll be back, but likely with a date. its definitely an environment made for lovers.

Lumiere is a French restaurant / cafe inside the Fairmont Plaza Hotel. I decided to try the pastries for breakfast. The croissant was delicious. It was soft and buttery on the inside with a crispy layer on the outside. The pistachio strawberry pastry was good too. It had abundant crunchy pistachios on the top with plenty of strawberry jam on the inside. It was perfect with tea.
